Award recognizes entrepreneurial excellence in software category
BOSTON, MA – JUNE 16, 2014 – EY today announced that Art Papas, co-founder and CEO of Bullhorn, the global leader in recruiting software, received the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2014 Award in the software category in New England. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Papas was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a special gala event at the Sheraton Boston on June 10.
Founded by Papas in 1999, Bullhorn is the leading provider of cloud-based software for the staffing and recruiting industry. More than 350,000 recruiting professionals use the company’s applicant tracking system (ATS), customer relationship management (CRM) solution, back office, and social recruiting products across 150 countries. Continually innovating, Bullhorn recently released the latest version of its core technology, S Release – the fastest staffing-specific ATS and CRM available on the market.
“Winning an award as prestigious as EY Entrepreneur Of the Year for New England is special to me because I view it entirely as a reflection on the work that my team has done,” said Papas. “Every one of my employees has played a key role helping me build this company. Some of them have even devoted more than a decade of their lives to it. We were recently recognized as being one of the Best Places to Work in Boston by the Boston Business Journal, and I believe that my winning the EY award goes hand-in-hand with Bullhorn being a great place to work. When we create a culture where people thrive, achieve their true potential, and build incredible friendships, extraordinary results will follow. This week we host 300 Bullhorn users for the annual Bullhorn Live Customer Conference, and our whole team is looking forward to translating our positive company culture into an incredible experience for our customers.”
Now in its 28th year, the program has honored the inspirational leadership of such entrepreneurs as Howard Schultz of Starbucks Coffee Company, Pierre Omidyar of eBay, Inc., and Mindy Grossman of HSN. Recent US national winners include Reid Hoffman and Jeff Weiner of LinkedIn; Hamdi Ulukaya, founder of Chobani; and 2013 winner Hamid Moghadam, CEO and Chairman of Prologis.
